Chin augmentation
Through either an intra-oral or submental incision an implant is introduced to augment the chin. The implant is made of either solid silicone or porous polyethylene (Medpor).
Chin Implants are performed for the following reasons:
A recessive chin
Small chin
As part of a balancing facial procedure in Class II or III malocclusion
As part of a Rhinoplasty procedure
